Having the operational know-how is not enough to build a successful business. You need an effective
marketing plan to engage potential clients and turn them into customers! Once you gather together some ideas to begin your marketing campaign, you should begin to formulate a marketing plan
either in you head or on paper. I prefer to list my ideas draft-style, and then flesh it out into an actual plan. I recommend
having a written marketing plan, and then posting it where you will see it every day. Please don’t make the mistake
of burying it under a pile of papers on your desk, or sticking it somewhere in your briefcase where it will not be seen. Remember
to set realistic goals and plan a strategy that is aggressive but not too exhausting. It is very important to avoid burnout if you are planning on being around for the long haul. You
should certainly challenge yourself, but at the same time not to the point where you do not want to continue. Remember; a
great success is nothing more than a combination of smaller successes that happen step by step. Your time and energy will
eventually pay off, but will take time and effort.
